NBK Capital Alternative Investments Group has successfully acquired a 51.0% stake in Sistem-9 Medya, the market leader in the fast growing digital signage (“DS”) industry in Turkey. The investment was made through NBK Capital Equity Partners Fund II, the firm’s private equity fund which focuses on acquiring minority and majority stakes in growing middle market companies in the MENA region.
Established in 2005 by Mr. Kaan Akin, Sistem-9 Medya is the leading Turkey-based provider of end-to-end Digital Signage (DS) integration solutions and Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising channels. The company operates in two verticals: system integration and advertising networks. Sistem-9 has been capitalizing on the rapid growth of the DS industry that is driven by the technological shift from traditional static banners to interactive digital panels.
